    Daisies, Wigs in full presence

    July 16, 2016 /

Certain environments have a direct influence on your perception of what now is meant to be. As humans we tend to label every situation rather than feeling and being present with that situation. Such experiences make life seem so full of joy. like the saying goes “In my presence the fullness of joy”. Today is a classic example of my happiest moments as I was so present in the moment, I felt like a kid again, dancing infront of the TV and screaming my lungs out rather than constantly living in the past or future .  I realised how therapeutic moments like this were hence why they’re important to be…

    My experience: ShakaZulu Restaurant/Club

    May 27, 2016 /

On the 20th of May, I headed to ShakaZula bar/restaurant in Camden for my sister’s birthday. I had had a busy last day at work so it was exciting celebrating my Friday night with visually appealing interior and a spontaneous food menu. Upon entry, I was amazed to see the intricate detailed walls embedded with African cowries; that sparked my fascination already. I couldn’t wait to see what else the restaurant had in store. As you have guessed I was blown away once I entered the restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant and the beautiful 50 ft African Zulu warriors statue wowed me to the point where, when I was…

My designed Floral Fruity Sorbet Candle

    January 22, 2016 /

Ok, it’s no suprise that I am a candle obsessed maniac and a smell fanatic. Lately I’ve been diving deep into the world of fragrance. I’ve studied more more on fragrance and candles than I did my masters degree lol. I also got approached randomly to design a candle collection so I’ve been getting my hands really dirty and hoping to launch a brand very soon. I popped into town and got inspired by these rose petal moulds I got for a pound. I decided to use crayons to get a reddish colour and scented the Rose petals with plum and raspberry. I scented the wax in the jar with…

Capturing Onycha’s essence in her home

    January 16, 2016 /

I got the privilege of taking pictures of Onycha in the comforts of her own home. It was such a pleasure shooting her I had a fantastic time. I shot the pictures with my canon and edited them on photoshop and on the iPhone. Enjoy them.

Billie Holiday and the classic Gardenia

    January 14, 2016 /

I’ve slowly taken massive interest into aromatics as I am obsessed with smell. My curiosity made me dive deeply into the world of fragrance and since then I haven’t looked back. I am currently taking the plunge to design a personal fragrance inspired by the sophisticated Gardenia which often reminds of the Jazz singer Billie Holiday. Billie Holiday often wore gardenia in her hair as an accent of her personal style whilst performing. The fragrance would be inspired by her aura and the emotional effect of her genre of jazz. Sultry, melancholy and soothing.    http://youtu.be/uYUqbnk7tCY

Key pieces acquired from Bargain hunting

    January 7, 2016 /

These days I spend my time at home, working on the business and hunting for roles in the city. I haven’t much to go to,however, I have acquired the habit of looking chic any time necessary; it’s a mood changer; it gives life purpose. Whilst in Abu Dhabi on holiday DKNY happened to be having a sale on and the prices were bonkers! I left with a purse that cost me only £35 and my mate left with two bags at the cost of £60 each. What I found funny about shopping in Abu Dhabi  was that a pretty basic H&M dress cost more than my DKNY purse. I ended…

All about my textured grunge Bob

    January 4, 2016 /

Before I delve into any discussion about my bob. I first would like to point out that I do my hair myself; from grooming to styling to weaves etc. I haven’t had a weave for over a year now because I have become highly accustomed to wigs and I am also regrowing my natural hair as this way it gives me a lot of discretion to manage and control its’ health. My textured Bob was inspired rock and roll and grunge culture. I find messy hair very sexy so I decided to create it using hair extensions from my brand, dollhaircollection.com I have on 12 inches of body wave and…

    The Future is Gold

    January 1, 2016 /

“The future is gold” is the statement I caught whilst drooling over J’adore’s Christain Dior advert. The ad campaign  depicted popular actress, Charlize Theron trying to reach the top of a building with a gold aerial silk.  She also made another statement which I find very striking “the only way is up”. My perception, immediately, was hmm is the only way truly up? How about downward spirals ? How about falling and never getting up? I once listened to a very popular spiritual teacher on YouTube called Teal Swan and she makes it quite clear that there is no such thing, as such, as going back. One cannot simply fall…
